It is hard to believe this is the last wedding we will ever shoot in Barr Mansion’s Artisan Ballroom…as we knew it. We are excited to see what they do in the rebuilding process (we know it will be awesome), but still sad to see the old one go.

Molly & Michael were married there on April 30th. They heard about us from a friend, and we are so glad they did. We hit it off with them right from the start. Molly has such a knack for creativity and design…as you can tell in her details. She definitely gets it from her mom…who by the way made her top the NIGHT BEFORE the wedding. It’s stunning. She is a Martha Stewart type, for sure! We love the vintage touches on everything! What a fun wedding! Here are some of our favorites…and the sweet email Molly sent when she received her photos. WOW! I have always known you guys are amazing, but you outdid yourselves! I can’t tell you how many people have emailed me after seeing the photos and raved about how wonderful they are; and I couldn’t agree more! So many people commented on how great the photos are at making them feel like they were there experiencing it all over again. Michael’s mom even called and was crying because she was so moved by them.

I am sure you probably heard about it, but the Barr Mansion Ballroom was completely destroyed by a fire last week. Breaks my heart, but I feel so fortunate that we were able to experience it before it was gone. I couldn’t be happier that you guys took so many pictures showing how beautiful it was, although a bit bittersweet.

Y’all are amazing- we can’t thank you enough. I can say with complete confidence that you were the most important part of our wedding and successfully memorializing it in a way that shows perfectly how wonderful it was.

Kristin & Kincaid. Marathon, TX.

We have been so excited to blog this wedding! Kristin and Kincaid were married in Marathon, TX at the Gage Hotel. If you have never been out that way, you MUST put it on your list. About an hour from Marfa, Marathon is the tiniest little town you have ever seen. The Gage is basically the only thing there, which is part of the charm! It’s refreshing, relaxing and quaint…but still elegant and classic and very Texas

When Kristin hired us, we knew right from the start we would love her wedding. She has such style sense…and she is a photographer herself. We, of course loved every single detail. The colors. The dresses. and The Flowers!!! Kristin and Kincaid, congrats to you guys, and we hope you love your wedding photos

Julie and Jeremy hired us for a bride & groom shoot!! We were sooo sad that we were booked for their actual wedding day…they were actually married just yesterday! Congrats you too..

We had so much fun getting to know these two while driving around New Braunfels looking for some new spots.. A few things we learned: they started dating in high school, they are bird watchers, they are both in medical school, and they both have celebrity look alikes!

Julie’s is Julia Roberts…. And Jeremy..the lead singer of Flare.. or some crazy band like that Help me out Jeremy!

Amanda is one of our senior girls… from Harlingen Harlingen is where we grew up so it’s always nice to head back down and snap some pics while we are there. Even better, I have known Amanda since she was about 2 years old!! So, this session was definitely a special one!

It’s hard to believe that in just a few weeks she is headed to Texas A&M to start her freshman year of college!! Have fun… Hope you LOVE it there as much as we did!

Rachel & Michael’s Wedding

We absolutely love these two! Rachel heard about us from a previous bride and we are so glad she did. They were so sweet and fun. and up for anything! Since they did the First Sight, we had tons of time to get some great shots of the two of them! Their were married at Christ Episcopal Church in San Antonio, and their reception was at the Witte Museum. It was a blast, complete with salsa dancing and mojitos

We also had the opportunity to work, for the very first time with Betty Parrish and the wedding planners. She is incredible. We hit it off right from the start. We hope to do many more weddings with her!

blake & brittany…san antonio

Blake and Brittany got married at the Bushnell in San Antonio. If you have never been there, it’s worth a visit. Located in the heart of the Monte Vista area, just down from Trinity University, it’s old charm makes it so hip. Anyways, we loved being able to photograph this wedding! We had so much fun with Brittany and all her bridesmaids…thanks for making us feel so welcome, ladies! Brittany’s sister, a florist in a nearby city, designed all the flowers…love them

Their ceremony was in the ballroom and the reception, up on the rooftop, which overlooks the city! Thanks guys for letting us be a part of your most important day :)

We have been dying to post Kristin’s bridal session on the blog, but obviously had to wait until she actually got married. Kristin and Kincaid got married this past Saturday in Marathon, TX. We have to say, this might have been our favorite wedding to date…and we have had TON of great ones. She is a fellow photographer, so she knows what photographs well. The place. The details. The colors….we could go on and on. BUT enough about that…for now

These two got married a couple months back in Fredericksburg, TX at the fabulous Hoffman Haus. Not only were they fun and super sweet, they planned a rockin’ wedding. The details were fun and colorful…two qualities that always satisfy us The crowd was energetic and welcoming. The bride and groom looked amazing. Since Mark and Laurie live out of state, we hadn’t met them prior to the wedding. This didn’t stand in the way, though of some good fun and fabulous picture taking. listening to the stories told by their friends and family, they seem like an amazing couple…giving, kind and quite the world travelers We wish you the best Mark and Laurie!

Oh, we also had the chance to work for Elizabeth Harris Event Design for the first time. If you are looking for a coordinator, they are awesome!

Nicole + Dimitri

We go nuts over great lighting and awesome details. These are two of the reasons we had a blast shooting Nicole and Dimitri’s wedding at The Mcnay Art Museum. From their paper products to their amazing floral arrangements, they did an incredible job! It was also cool to see the Greek dance they did at the end of the night as the Greek band played…so much fun!

Dana & Anu’s wedding was our very first of 2010! We had a blast spending the day with them. The wedding took place at the incredible Texas Womens Federation Mansion. There were so many things about their wedding we loved…the henna tattoos, sweet little birds atop their cake, and the lighting. It’s amazing what you can do with lighting in any venue…really helps make pictures come to life!
